Liquigas storms the Giro

Slick move from the guys in green today. As the Giro circus was back in Italy where it belongs for an important team time trial, Liquigas, with Nibali and Basso amongst the best placed GC contender following the stages in the Netherlands, did what they had to do and then some.

They won the day and put some very good gaps on the other GC contenders. Vino is now behind, Sastre and Evans are even further down and pretty much everyone else lost valuable time and probably any chance to win the Giro.

Not sure if it's a good thing or not at this point, guys riding Cannondales are 1st, 2nd and 3rd on GC. Nibali leads, Basso is second and Agnoli is third. The next slick move could be to let the first non-Liquigas rider get the pink jersey tomorrow so they don't have to work for it and Greipel of course is not dangerous for the overall, with bonuses, he could take the lead and carry the burden of the pink jersey until the mountains arrive.

Things are looking good.
