Great man, I'm sure you will love it. Got XX mounted on my S-Works Epic 2009, awesome!

Did you also order the XX spider for the Hollogram cranks?

No, I'm keeping my 5-bolt spider but will only mount one chainring, it will be a 1x10 (see a few posts below, ditching chainrings). That 36T rear cog is huge! Oddly, it will be the first time I have trigger shifters on my own bike...

nice presents for your bike

I'm really interested in the 1x10 thing. ..I think that may be where I head once I'm all out of my 8sp cassettes.
(currently 2x8 on two bikes. total bombproof and light)

please do a review of the 1x10

I'll do a review for sure but it may take a while. I'll get the chain guide during winter so I may not try it before spring!

Another, cheaper option is going 1x9 with the Shimano 9 speed 12-36 cassette, gives the big cog, if you don't mind that the cassette weighs almost as much as a whole frame!

yeah, I've considered the big spread 9spd cassettes ..I've already got several 9spd cassettes tho that have been pulled from new bikes so I may try it (with 12-32 & 32 front), but I'm hoping to hold out for better.
..I'd definitely need one of the better guides though. I've seen too many friends frustrated by the one sided or inferior flavours. You might want to check the Paul's version. Looks pretty cool to me.

I have seen Paul's guide but Paul being old school, it must have been designed for steel bikes or cross bikes with bigger chainrings. The clamp sits too low on the seat tube to wrap around a 32T ring and the big downtube on my Scalpel prevents it's use.
