New Cannondales

Cannondale released their new Scalpels quite recently but have no intention to rest just yet. They just showed some anticipated new mountain bikes, taking the next step after the venerable Prophet who is slowly put into retirement. The Rize, available in alloy or System Six style carbon is a light 130mm trail bike that features a brand new Lefty Max with Fox RLC internals and a mysterious Lefty PBR with, say what? Rock Shox internals and a sub 3lbs weight. The Moto is a 160mm bike with a more complex rear suspension linkage, full carbon mainframe and removable dropouts, QR, Thru-12 or Maxle. While it's said that the Moto would only be available in carbon for now, both bikes might eventually be available in alloy and carbon. And of course, expect the bikes to be among the lightest in their categories...

Check Bikemag.com for more pictures and a video of the bikes introduction (yes Doug Dalton has the best job in the world!) that took place last weekend. Also check the more complete articles with more pictures of the Rize and Moto in Singletrack Magazine.

The Rize: 130mm, Lefty Max, BB30, but please, lose the ugly sidewalls Schwalbe

The Moto: 160mm, floating suspension, sturdy lightweight fun machine
