Terje breaks highest air world record

Today, the not so young Terje Haakonsen, broke the world record for the highest air in a quarter pipe at the Arctic Challenge in Oslo, an event he has been organizing himself since day one.

The previous record, 9.3 meters was set in 2001 at the same event by Heikki Sorsa. The norwegian showed the younger riders that he is still one of the best and shattered that mark with a 9.8 meter high backside 3. Now that is high! To give you an idea, at the bottom of the picture above, you can barely see the top edge of the quarter-pipe... Watch the video on Freecaster.
